Our Next Event 29 September!

Learn about the war on the Chesapeake Bay during the American Revolution. Also, you'll get a chance to meet a Maryland State Marine. Learn about the role Maryland played in creating its own navy and marines. Demonstrations will include musket drill for the kids, firing demonstrations, and photo opportunities to dress up as a British Marine. Musket firing demonstrations will be held at 12:00 noon and 2:00pm. 

Marines at Pope's Creek

The Marines had a successful day at The George Washington Birthplace National Monument.  The weather held with storms threatening all around, but barely a drop at the site.  The Marines, 17th Light Dragoons, and a Brigade of the American Revolution Continental unit were there to demonstrate camp life, conduct a drill, and fired their muskets.  They enjoyed a lunch made in the hearth kitchen by their distaff and site intern Meagan Gay.  A very well attended event by the public that made participating very worth while.

Pope's Creek - George Washington's Birthplace

Our next event will take place at George Washignton's Birthplace, Pope's Creek, in Colonial Beach, Virginia on 14 July.  The British Marines, 17th Light Dragoons, and 64th Regiment of Foot will be on-site to conduct firing demonstrations, will show a camp display, and their distaff will prepare an 18th century meal over a hearth for the day's event.

Revolutionary London Town

Come out to see us on 8 July at our next event at Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater, Maryland.  Gates open at Noon to 4 pm. 

Revolutionary Rock Ford 2012

The British Marines were in attendance at Rock Ford Plantation in Lancaster, PA, from 9-10 June.  This national British Brigade and Continental Line event had up to 1000 reenactors and was well attended by the public.
